Hindustan, the fastest growing Hindi daily of the HT Media group, will launch its Bareilly edition in the first week of October. After Lucknow, Varanasi, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur, Allahabad; Bareilly is the seventh print location of Hindustan in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Hindustan has more than 50 editions in UP. With this launch of Bareilly edition, the newspaper will cover at least 85 per cent of the UP state. Besides UP, Hindustan is present in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Delhi-NCR and in the Chandigarh markets. Following this move, the newspaper will extend its reach to the Rohilkhand region and an edition in Gorakhpur by the end of this financial year. The two launches will help the company complete its footprint across UP. Amit Chopra, business head, Hindustan, says, "With the Bareilly, Rohilkhand and Gorakhpur editions, our physical presence in the UP state region will be completed entirely, which will help us to provide an cutting edge solution yo our advertisers and an exceptional experience to our readers." The Bareilly paper is priced at Rs 3.50 and is targeting a circulation of 35, 000 copies at SEC A and B, which is a healthy mix of subscriptions and cash sales. The edition will have 18 pages every day. About 50 per cent of the pages will be coloured, while the rest will be black and white. Anil Bhaskar, who was earlier associated with Rashtriya Sahara, is the resident editor of the Bareilly edition. Dainik Jagran and Amar Ujala are among other strong players in the Bareilly market. |
