The Nielsen Company, India has appointed Sandeep Ranade as director, client solutions, consumer research. He will be reporting to Prasun Basu, executive director, consumer research and vice-president, BASES, The Nielsen Company. Ranade will be based out of Mumbai and will focus on partnering with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients. He brings with him 14 years of experience in market research and media planning to the company. Prior to joining Nielsen, he was associated with Heinz India as senior manager, market research and media planning. Over the last decade, Ranade has been associated in various capacities with Subhiksha Trading Services, TNS India, and IMRB International, among others. "My role handling CPG business is going to be very exciting and considering that this category even withstood the onslaught of the economic downturn, it will be quite interesting to watch how the industry shapes up," said Ranade. Ranade is an alumni of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune where he did his PGDM specializing in Marketing & Finance, and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering. |
