After appointing Ajay Vidyasagar and Sanjay Reddy, Sun TV Network has roped in LV Navaneeth for a newly created post of vice-president, content and revenue. Based out of Chennai, Navaneeth will report to Ajay Vidyasagar, chief operating officer, Sun TV Network. In his new role, Navaneeth will be responsible to manage the business of network's non general entertainment channels. He will handle the music, movies, comedy and kids' channels of Sun TV, comprising Sun Music, KiranTV, Gemini Music, Udaya2, Chutti TV, Chintu TV, Kushi TV, KTV, Udaya Movies, Teja TV, Ushe TV and Adithya. On Navaneeth's appointment, Vidyasagar says, "Our niche channels have a strong consumer franchise and deliver a strong audience share. We are very excited to have been able to bring in Navaneeth into the Sun TV Network family and expect him to bring in a lot of innovation and freshness into the bunch of channels." Navaneeth joins Sun TV from Radio One, a Mid-Day Multimedia and BBC joint venture, where he was the station head and programming head of the Chennai station. Armed with 15 years of experience of programming, advertising and marketing in media and entertainment, he has been associated with The Hindu, HCL and Radio One. After being with The Hindu for eight years, from 1998 to mid 2006, he left the company as GM, advertising and marketing. Later, he was with Radio One for three years and was responsible for launching the Chennai station. Navaneeth is an engineering graduate in Instrumentation Technology and also holds a post graduate diploma in Marketing Communications from Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad. |
