    MPG India bags media duties for Maxx Mobile

    MPG India, Mumbai, has bagged the media duties for the Maxx Mobile Communications business, following a multi-agency pitch. Other agencies in the pitch were Lintas Media Group (LMG), Lodestar Universal, GroupM's Mindshare and Madison Media competing for the business. The size of the account, as per reliable sources, is about Rs 20 crore.

    Recently, Pickle Advertising, Mumbai, has won the creative duties for the brand, following a multi-agency pitch. The creative pitch is believed to have had about 15 agencies fighting it out, the final round of which had McCann Erickson and Pickle in the fray.

    Anita Nayyar, chief executive officer, Havas Media - India and South Asia, says, "We matched the chemistry and passion and had the caliber to entice the client with our work. Our testimonials are in our work as we together join hands to build Maxx for the brand Maxx Mobile."

    For the record, Maxx Mobile, a mobile phone accessories manufacturing and distribution company, is stepping into the mobile phone business in India with the vision of providing the latest and widest range of wireless products, solutions, technologies and services to customers backed with a customer support network and a research, design and manufacturing strategy.
