Dainik Bhaskar has made an yet another senior level appointment by roping in Alok Purohit as chief operating officer, for the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region. He will report to Sudhir Agarwal, managing director, Bhaskar Group. Speaking to Televisionpoint.com, Purohit says, "I am excited about taking on the new role of operations. It is going to be a real fun, as for the past several years, I have been taking care of operations at other media houses. So, it is definitely going to be my cup of tea." In his last role, Purohit was executive vice-president, corporate, Radio Mirchi; where his main role was to improve business metrics, processes and ensure uniformity of the radio station culture across all stations. In April 2008, Purohit was appointed as business evangelist, at Radio Mirchi. He worked in close association with radio station cluster heads and regional directors in guiding operation heads in emerging markets. Earlier, Purohit was regional director, Central India, Radio Mirchi. He has been with the Entertainment Network India Ltd (ENIL)-owned station since September 2001, when he joined as station head at Indore. He also worked with companies like Amtrex Appliances and Goodlass Nerolac Paints. |
