The One Show Interactive Awards 2009 winners have been announced and Leo Burnett India is the only agency from India to win an award, a silver Pencil, for its work on Luxor Highlighters titled 'Luxor Highlighters – Innovation' in the category Campaign: Banners (Dynamic). This is India's first Pencil at the One Show Interactive. The only other finalist from India competing at the One Show Interactive was an entry from G2 Direct & Digital, Mumbai, titled 'Be Aware' for Ojus Medical Institute in the Email Marketing: Single category. The Luxor Highlighters campaign was conceptualised by Burnett's erstwhile executive creative director and national head, art, Santosh Padhi. The copy was by Russell Barrett, while the Arc Worldwide team, too, contributed to the campaign. Kevin Swanepoel, president, The One Club, said, "This was an amazing collection of work. Agencies responded to a tough economy and an uncertain media landscape with talent, boldness of thought and fearless determination. The work from India was great, much like the other works that we had seen from India at One Show Design and One Show." For the record, DDB Mudra was the lone winner from India at the One Show awards ceremony for its radio spot, Bush, done for the Islamic Research Foundation, which won a bronze pencil in the Public Service – Radio Single category.
