Colors, the Hindi GEC from Network18, has claimed the number one position jointly with Star Plus in the GEC space, according to TAM Media Research data on C&S 4+, HSM audiences. In Week 9, Star Plus has garnered 305 GRPs, while Colors received 304 GRPs. Both the channels have grabbed a share of 25 per cent share each in the latest week. The overall GRPs of the GEC genre grew by 100. The GRPs of Star Plus has remained unchanged from Week 8, though its relative channel share has decreased from 27 per cent from the Week before. Colors has increased its channel share, which was 21 per cent in Week 8. The Week 9's top-rated show, Balika Vadhu, has fetched a TVR of 10.2. In the last one year, no GEC programme has recorded a double-digit TVR. Jai Shri Krishna recorded a TVR of 6.4. For Star Plus, Bidaai remained as its top rated show with a TVR of 6.97, while Yeh Rishta Kyaa Kehlata Hai clocked a TVR of 5.75. Aap Ki Kachehri and Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil also managed to bag a peak TVR of 3.84 and 3.21 respectively to help the channel retain its first place. Zee TV is at distant number three place with 201 GRPs. The channel share is 16 per cent, which is down from 18 per cent in Week 8. The TVR of Dance India Dance stands at 2.79 and the channel's top-rated fiction Chhoti Bahu has gone down the TVR ladder to fetch a rating of 3.74. Sony Entertainment TV, with 88 GRPs in Week 9, remains at number four position, with an unchanged channel share of 7 per cent. NDTV Imagine and Star One have garnered GRPs of 67 and 61, respectively, with a share of 5 per cent each in Week 9. Sab TV and DD1 are 4 GRPs apart and have grabbed a 4 per cent share each. Sahara One and Star Utsav have a 3 per cent share each. 9X has a 2 per cent share of the GEC pie in Week 9. |
