Big FM has launched an initiative by tuning its entire gamut of programmes and music to address the issue. Called 'Don't Worry, Be Happy', the programming initiative has been conceptualised keeping in mind the prevailing mood of the listeners and aims to help them to deal with the slowdown. Nirupam Sonu, vice-president, programming, Big FM, says, "Don't Worry, Be Happy, has been conceptualized keeping in mind the prevailing mood of listeners, helping them deal with the slowdown and pumping up the happiness quotient." Apart from a change in its programming, specific sections such as Guru Mantra, which will host visionaries, business leaders and chief executive officers of renowned companies, have been introduced. The guests in this programme will provide tips on how to stay motivated at the workplace, secure jobs, manage expenses and other similar tips on survival during the tough times. In another programme, called Stock Updates, a panel of advisors will counsel listeners on investments and answer queries about stocks currently owned by the listeners. The programming mix will also provide updates on property, highlighting the fluctuating rates of residential and commercial properties and tips on investments in properties. Other issues being addressed by the radio operator are cost effective entertainment options, budget traveling, best deals on shopping, budget holidays, best deals on groceries and the most economic airfares. The station also promises listeners their daily dose of The Big Laugh, covering pegs of humor, cost effective entertainment options, budget traveling and much more. The station will also host ace numerologist Sanjay Jumaani in the section titled Jumaani ki Zubaani. The music mix on the station will be in complete sync with their mood during the given day part. |
