Sony Entertainment Television, the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC), will launch a fiction show, Ek Safar Aisa… Kabhi Socha Na Tha, every Monday to Thursday at 9.30 pm starting February 09.

Gurdip Bhangoo, programming head, Sony, said, "A sweet girl gets embroiled in a journey because of emotional compulsions. She then battles the day to day onslaught from all quarters with only belief and values on her side. We are sure this simple girl's story and the mysterious experiences that she goes through in life will resonate with the viewers."

Ek Safar Aisa is directed by Pawan Kumar and written by Virendra Shahaney. The star cast includes Pankaj Dheer, Rinku Ghosh, Madhvi Gokte, Kuldeep Mallik, Neelu Kohli, Tapasvi and Jaishree Soni & Maninder in the lead role.

According to Week 4 data from TAM for C&S 4+ homes in Hindi speaking markets, Sony is at number four in terms of channel share. From a relative share of 8 per cent in Week 3, Sony has witnessed a decline to 6 per cent in Week 4, its GRP have fallen from 93 to 74.
