TDI International India, a outdoor major in transit advertising, has bagged the media rights for the Goa International Airport for a period of five years. Laqshya Media, Times OOH, Adlabs, Luminill, Sandeep Publicity and Peacock Media were the other bidders in the fray. TDI will now sell inventory options both inside and outside the airport, and the contract is effective from January 01, 2009. With this win, TDI is now the largest airport media handler in the country. It is present in 14 airports across North, South and West India, including at Jammu, Amritsar, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Vadodara, Pune and Ahmedabad. Vikas Bhambri, vice-president, sales and marketing, TDI International, says, "As a media vehicle, the Goa airport is one of the well organised destination. It receives around 75 per cent of India's international tourists, so that brands can leverage a plenty of eyeballs." TDI, which was established in 1986, provides a wide range of outdoor vehicles such as backlit translites, show windows, pillar displays, hoardings and billboards, pole kiosks, aero bridges, baggage trolleys and unipoles. The company is a privileged concessionaire of the Airports Authority of India. |
