NDTV Imagine to co-produce Madhurai Sambhavam

NDTV Imagine Film Company has forayed into movie production in the South India. The company has allied with Wide Angle Creations, to co-produce a Tamil thriller titled Madhurai Sambhavam. The movie will star actors Harikumar, Anuya Bhagwat and Karthika in the lead and is scheduled to go on floors from December, 2008.

In an prepared statement, Sameer Nair, director, NDTV Imagine Film Company, says, "Film making is a collaborative effort, we are extremely happy to have partnered with Wide Angle Creations to mark our foray in the Tamil Film Industry. The team at Wide Angle Creations has created some very good and award winning films in the past, and we are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship". 

George Pius, managing partner, Wide Angle Creations said, "In NDTV Imagine we saw a like minded partner who not only understood the sensibilities but is equally passionate about cinema. As we get into action with Madhurai Sambhavam, we have simultaneously started nurturing high concept entertainers with NDTV Imagine."

The action thriller is being shot in Madhurai and depicts the distinct flavor of the region. Other cast in the movie includes Radha Ravi, Raj Kapoor, Kadhal Dhandapani, Ilavarasu, Santhana Barathi, Balu Anand, and Thimiru Mayi among others.

The director Youreka has also written the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics of the movie. The cinematography is by Sugumar, the music by John Peter, stunts by Annal Arasu, choreography by Sudhakar Vasanth and art direction by Kamal.
