After toying with dance shows like 'Super Dancer' and 'Super Dancer Junior', Amrita TV now is set to launch another dance show, 'Let's Dance', for couples in the 18-30 age group. The competition, which would include a wide range of dance styles, would be an elimination contest, and the final winners would be determined by a combination of voting by judges and SMS voting. The show would feature performances by various and distinctive dance troupes from all over India and have a wide variety of participants. An expert panel consisting of renowned choreographers would be the judges for the contest. While the earlier trend setting shows of Amrita TV – 'Super Dancer' and 'Super Dancer Junior' nurtured individual dancing talent, the new show would focus on encouraging male-female pairs to showcase their skills, with professional choreographers working with each team to infuse innovativeness and energy to the show. 'Let's Dance' would be a prime time show on weekdays with prizes worth nearly Rs 20 lakh. The show would go on air from early June and is open to dancing aspirants across the country and the Middle East. |
