In an multi-agency pitch, Optimum Media Solutions (OMS), the Mudra Group's independent media arm has been appointed the 360-degree media agency for MTV Networks India. The mandate includes planning and buying across all media, as well as strategic inputs for programming, scheduling and marketing for the channels - MTV, Nick and VH1. While OMS has been handling the Nick business for the last few months, with this development, it will take charge of the media services for the other two brands as well. Says Aditya Swamy, Vice-president, Marketing, MTV Networks on reasons for choosing OMS, "Innovation is the core of MTV Networks and this applies to our media strategy as well. In OMS we have found a likeminded partner, who with their vast experience and strong network can grow the sampling of our shows." Chandradeep Mitra, President, OMS said, "We're proud to partner global iconic brands like MTV, Nick & VH1. Working with a media client is always more challenging and satisfying." Jairaj Padmanabhan, Regional Director, OMS, added "It was our understanding of MTV's business needs and providing total media solutions that helped us win this business. Our strategic approach and innovative thinking would have swung the decision in our favour." OMS will be working closely with MTV Networks' marketing teams on programming, scheduling and marketing of their programs. In addition it will also provide total Media Solutions through its group companies, including Primesite for Outdoor and Tribal DDB for Internet. |
