Reliance Anil Dhirubai Ambani Group (ADAG) has appointed McCann Erickson to handle the corporate branding duties for the group.

McCann Erickson has beaten O&M, JWT and Mudra to win the corporate account, whose size is estimated to be upwards Rs 40 crore. The pitch process took over two months and a series of presentations were made. The final presentation was made to Anil Ambani.

Speaking about the reasons for his agency's victory, Prasoon Joshi, Executive chairman, McCann Erickson, says, "I think we had a clear direction. They liked our thinking and the creative interpretation."

Reliance ADAG companies include Reliance Capital, Reliance Media and Entertainment, Reliance Communications, Reliance Energy and Reliance Health. Last year, the company selected red and blue as its corporate colours, symbolising energy and self-belief, respectively.

Meanwhile, Reliance ADAG has also decided to review its media duties. Sources divulge that the corporate major has initiated dialogue with several agencies to explore the possibility of working together. Reliance ADAG's media duties is at present with OMS, the media arm of Mudra. The account size for the group is pegged at a massive Rs 400 crore.
