WorldSpace, the satellite radio station in the country, has announced its new programming initiatives across all its channels. In a unique move, each day in May, each WorldSpace channel will feature the special programming that has been created.

Commenting on the new programming initiatives, Harshad Jain, CMO, WorldSpace India, said, "We are confident that our first-of-the-kind initiatives will further establish our brand as the best source for exclusive programme listening, both international and local Indian regional music, in our markets."

Some of the programmes scheduled include Journey's classic album 'Escape' on May 25 in Orbit Rock. On May 26, Radio Farishta will present 'Farishta Orchestra' featuring the Nava Rasas.

Channel Riff will present another programme in the long running 'Spotlight Series' with a feature on the legendary Fats Waller. On May 30, Jhankaar will celebrate actor Paresh Rawal's birthday in a special way on 'Morning Raga' with some of Rawal's films, which portray him in serious roles.
