Parle Agro has decided to move its media duties to OMD from GroupM's MediaCom. The development has been confirmed by Nadia Chauhan Kurup, Head, Innovative Marketing, Parle Agro. Earlier this year, Jasmin Sohrabji, the former President of MediaCom, South Asia, ended her 10 year spell at the agency to join OMD as its Managing Director. Harish Shriyan, who was Co-president at MediaCom India, has also recently joined OMD as its Managing Partner. The size of Parle Agro's media business that has moved with Sohrabji and Shriyan to OMD is around Rs 20 crore. This is the first win of OMD, since it set foot in India in February 2007. Says Kurup, "We worked very closely with Jasmin and Harish, when they were at Mediacom. They have added a lot of value to our business and we found that the output helped us achieve all our targets. A lot of innovation in planning and implementation took place under their guidance." Parle Agro's brand range comprises Frooti, Appy, Appy Fizz, N-Joi and Parle Bailey Aqua. The creative duties for the Parle Agro portfolio rests with Grey Worldwide. |
