Hungama TV, has launched - The Dragon preschool series starting this Feb, 27 06 at 12 noon, It is produced in the rare but popular Stop-Motion Animation technique that has already been the foundation of the success of well-known productions such as "Bob the Builder", Wallace and Gromit", and "Koala Brothers". Dragon, targeted for pre-school children, is set in an imaginary world and explores themes that are universally identifiable to children everywhere - wanting a friend, being afraid of the dark - by capturing the endearing and often insightful life stories of our lovable hero, Dragon. In his adventures, he always tries to do good and be fair even through the worst circumstances. He always succeeds to find a solution, often in surprisingly touching ways. The concept of this series Dragon is based on the popular preschool book series written by Steven Western. This journey of the dragon proposes to expose kids to various facets of life in very simple and fun manner. Along with it being a very fulfilled series it also promises to be a treat to the eyeballs as it brings out the Dragon to life in 3-D stop motion animation. Commenting on this Zarina Mehta, Programming Head, Hungama TV said, "Dragon will add to the bunch of new animation shows which Hungama TV has planned for kids. We are looking forward to provide kids with a complete package of Adventure & Entertainment through these shows." This preschool series has already been purchased by Treehouse TV in Canada, ZDF in Germany and ABC in Australia and now can be viewed in India on our own Hungama TV. Meanwhile, the channel also claims, it is riding high with a very impressive growth path in the kid's space. The latest ratings have revealed the evident success story of Hungama TV in 2006, as it emerges as the only kid's channel that is consistently growing its channel share week on week.
