Alpana Mishra, Business Head, Leo Entertainments, will take up a new position with the UTV Motion Pictures as Vice President Motion Pictures Production. Mishra has previously worked with Madison Advertising, from where she moved to Lintas, and finally to Leo Burnett in 2001. She has worked for brands like P&G and HLL. At UTV, Mishra has also worked on projects of Rang De Basanti, Taxi No 9211 and Chup Chup Ke. Speaking to Televisionpoint.com, Mishra says, "I have a vast experience in the marketing process of the films, to evoke my talent, I always desired to enter the film making and subsequent processes from my child hood. I received an offer from UTV and readily accepted it, and would like to contribute as a part to the huge success of the UTV. I will embark on every single film under the UTV banner as a strong assignment product. I shall be be involved from the progressive juncture till the pre and post-production aspects." Initially, she spent 5 years in mainstream advertising starting with Madison DMB&B handling Procter & Gamble and moving on to Lintas handling Hindustan Levers. At the respective Agencies she handled the advertising of flagship brands Vicks, Whisper, Rexona and Breeze respectively. Post that Alpana moved to Leo Burnett to be part of the start up Leo Entertainment; the film marketing division of the Agency. She spent 5 years conceptualising, developing and strategising on the communication course various Hindi films would take; ensuring the best way they would reach the consumers i.e. audiences. The key client base being Ram Gopal Varma, Sanjay Gupta, Ravi Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, Pooja Bhatt, AB Corp amongst others. |
