ESPN Star Sports has announced new viewer-friendly time slots for three of its most popular originally-produced programs; SportsCenter Asia, Tiger First Edition and Nokia Football Crazy. These time changes will take effect on February 6. 2006. Announcing the time change, Stephenie Vasko, Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications said, "ESPN Star Sports has undertaken a detailed viewing pattern and programming preferences exercise across Asia. This exercise has helped us map changes in viewership trends as well as identify time bands preferred for viewing sports. These time changes herald the Start of a new programming and scheduling strategy for our channels across Asia which will develop stronger appointment viewing opportunities as well as attract even more viewers in the longer term." ESPN Star Sports' award winning sports news programme, SportsCenter Asia will air at 7:30 pm and then at 10:00 pm. SportsCenter at 10 will be followed by a football game every weeknight. SportsCenter Asia brings the latest from the world of sports, with an emphasis on sporting events in Asia. SportsCenter is presented by Jason Dasey, together with a team of co-presenters; Colette Wong, Steve Dawson and Uday Joshi. Monday-Friday LIVE at 19:30 with repeats at 22:00 and 00:30 hours SportsCenter Asia – Every weeknight, Live at 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm, only on ESPN Nokia Football Crazy – Thursday, Live at 8:00 pm, only on ESPN Tiger First Edition – Friday, Live at 9:00 pm HKT, only on ESPN Nokia Football Crazy presented by Andy Penders and the rest of the Football Crazy crew of Sheikh Haikel, PJ Roberts and Sharkee Tan, will be telecast at 8:00 pm every Thursday. Nokia Football Crazy is a unique show where all football related news, happenings and gossip is presented in a fun format. Seasoned presenter John Dykes hosts this weekly look at what the newspapers are saying about the football scene – the latest news, transfers, speculation and gossip. Primarily based on football news from English newspapers, Tiger First Edition also takes a look at how Asian publications are reporting on the English football scene, according to a media release. |
