Asianet Communications, the Malayalam Television Network will be launching a a youth-oriented television channel, 'Asianet Plus' from Saturday, July 23. The new channel is being targeted at young Malayalees at a large across the world, said MR Mohan Nair, Chief Operating Officer, Asianet Communications. Presently, Asianet operates Asianet channel and Asianet News. The 24-hour Asianet Plus, is third channel from Asianet and it will have a slither of Music, comedy and dance-based and infotainment programmes, roller booting with MTV and Channel [V]. The USP of the channel will be a prime time feature film everyday. "All genre of music - classical, folk, Indipop, filmi, ghazals, pop, rock and jazz will have a place on Asianet Plus. Film stars and other youth icons will also feature in various programmes," Managing Director K Madhavan said. "We certainly are the leaders in Kerala with a 55 percent share of the advertisement market here.", Madhavan added. |
