An Assistant police inspector Shantilal Jadhav, who is wanted in the Provogue drug case for allegedly attempting to destroy the evidence against the accused, surrendered to the police today. Mr Jadhav who was earlier posted as an assistant to the joint commissioner of police (administration) earlier, had allegedly directed the investigating officers to replace the contents of the vials of cocaine with boric acid. A senior police inspector of the Santacruz airport police station, MR Madhukar Gatade, said, "The wanted police officer surrendered himself to the police on Monday night." The vials of cocaine were seized from former Provogue Lounge employee Allwyn Sequira in January 2005. Read Also: Three Provogued Cops held in Cociane case Brand Provogue under cocaine customers |
