From May 15 all the Dainik Jagran city supplements are printed as "Jagran City" in order to maintain the uniformity across 26 editions of Dainik Jagran. Out of 8 Jagran publishing states (Delhi, UP, MP, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttranchal & Himachal Pradesh) the changes has been incorporated in 49 important cities of six states (Delhi, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Parts of UP & Punjab). Dainik Jagran has decided to transform city centric supplements simultaneously to boost its growth plans. The all colour four-pager pullouts will be covering the specific cities as Delhi Jagran city, Ludhiana Jagran City, Lucknow Jagran City, Kanpur Jagran City, Ambala Jagran City, Aligarh Jagran City, Patna Jagran City, Jamshedpur Jagran City, Bhopal Jagran City similarly changes will be incorporated in other selected cities. Apart from hard news on city activities the content of Jagran City supplements will comprise of customized - page three contents, soft news and feature based like; life style, fashion, trends, city news analysis etc. "To sustain itself in a competitive market a brand has to evolve with the time otherwise it will be discarded by the consumers. Bringing uniformity in all the 49 city supplements is a strategic move to strengthen the city sub-brands that is linked with brand building exercise. In fact this will help to increase the recall value of the product amongst readers as all these supplement will alike same for readers across Jagran states" says Sanjay Gupta, CEO of Dainik Jagran. There is no change in the price of the newspaper. The new look of all the 49 city supplements will bring uniformity across the Jagran states about the brand Dainik Jagran. As a promotional strategy Jagran will be launching a multimedia assault across the selected cities of six states through outdoor, signage, banners, display van kiosks etc besides print heavy campaign. Title of the campaign is 'Yeh Sahar Hai Bada Suhana’ and the creatives for the campaign is being done by creative agency Vishakha Communications. In the recent IRS 2005 and ABC figures Jagran has established this fact that it has grown both in readership and in circulation. At present Dainik Jagran has readership of 1,74,74,000 (Source: IRS R1 2005) and a circulation of 21,61,445 copies everyday as per ABC July-December 2004. |
