Disney Channel will launch a new original production, called Kya Mast Hai Life, mirroring the lives of tweens. The series draws insights from Disney's KidSense 3, an in-depth qualitative study on tweens unveiled by the channel earlier this year. Antoine Villeneuve, senior vice-president and managing director, Walt Disney Television International India, says, "Tweens today are wise and wired. Kya Mast Hai Life follows Disney Channel's philosophy of reflecting them, their families, their universe in an entertaining, safe and family inclusive environment ." Starting April 27, Monday to Friday at 7 pm, the series will follow the lives of five tweens whose friendship helps them have fun and enjoy the journey of growing up. The channel has commissioned production house SOL to produce the show. Fazila Allana, managing director, SOL said, "We are excited about producing our first fiction show with a leading tween and family television brand like Disney Channel. SOL is well known for its expertise in non-fiction programming and television events. We look forward to establishing similar success with Kya Mast Hai Life in the fiction genre." The new show will add to the line-up of programming on Disney Channel, which includes franchises Hannah Montana, Disney Channel Original Movies such as Camp Rock and High School Musical 1, 2, 3, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life on Deck starring popular characters Zack and Cody, Phineas and Ferb as well local productions like Break Time Masti Time. |
