Infomedia India has appointed Tushar Burman as head of Internet properties. He will report to Lakshmi Narasimhan, chief executive officer, Infomedia India.

Burman was earlier with the Indian Express Group, where he worked as associate editor of Intelligent Enterprise, a technology related publication.

Burman has around 10 years of experience in the digital media and technology space. He has worked as a senior writer with Network Computing magazine, owned by Jasubhai Digital Media. He has also worked with Dun & Bradstreet, which provides business related information, as senior analyst in its economic analysis division.

Infomedia India publishes various magazines such as Overdrive, an automobile and bike magazine; Chip, a gadgets and technology magazine; AV Max, a magazine which reports on the latest happenings in the audio and video industry; and Yellow Pages. Network18 owns a majority stake in Infomedia India.

Infomedia runs websites such as Overdrive.in and Chip.in. It has tied up with Alibaba.com, a business to business (B2B) e-commerce company based in China, to create an online community of Indian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on Alibaba.com.
