Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar turns Producer

Ad guru Prahlad Kakkar has now turned producer and has finalised actors Manoj Bajpai, Vidya Malavade (the Maska Chaska girl) and Sonu Sood for his venture.

Kakkar confirms this saying, "Yes, I am producing a film for my company Genesis. The story is based on real life incidents that took place in Delhi. Though this film is my first venture, I have earlier produced a telefilm for Star One called Bali. The film is directed by Shuzaat, who directed Bali for me."

Actor Manoj Bajpai who is quite excited about this film says, "My new year starts with Prahlad Kakkar's film. It is based on the rape cases that took place in Delhi recently. I cannot reveal anything more about the film."

Speaking more about the film, Kakkar said, "It's a kind of a love story set against the backdrop of Delhi politics. It's a serious film and narrates the incidents of the rape cases that took place in the capital."

Kakkar who has not signed any big stars for his films, justifies saying, "I don't believe in the policy of signing big stars. I believe that if you have a good content it would definitely work."

Screenplay for this untitled film has been written by Piyush Mishra who has also done films like Maqbool and Yahaan. The film will go on rolls early next year. Kakkar is also working on two more films which he will direct.
