Brewing in the local concoction to blow away the competition is the new mantra for Zee Café, the English general entertainment channel is ready with Bombay Talking, which is all set to hit the box this November. The show is all set to scorch the small screen with the Page 3 smash hits, it is produced by UTV and directed by Anand Rai, the creativity is done by Patrick Biswas. Zee Café will launch the metro-centric soap Bombay Talking from November 19 2005 in the 10:30 PM slot and will run through Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bombay Talking which is a UTV production revolves around a girl Sheena, played by Priyanka Baasin. The other characters also revolve around the film fraternity. Bombay Talking,a spicy, saucy tale of Page 3 socialites, is about the life of a struggling actress (Mallika Sherawat) who comes from a small city to displace the current sizzling hot diva. It also has Manoj Bidwai and Manoj Gulati. Director, Anand Rao, says, "The show is about socialites, people you and I have made special. It deals with their real life on reel. These people are very ordinary, just like us. Its just that they have glamorous jobs, which they love. They are ambitious and diligent and want to achieve their dreams anyhow." Neil Chakravarti, business head of Zee Café says, "Bombay Talking is the first show of its kind on Indian television, where viewers will get a glimpse of the plush lifestyles led by Bombays swish set. There is tremendous curiosity about the elite and the show will tap into that interest. Fresh direction, new faces, and an intriguing and bold storyline will all contribute to capturing viewers imagination and making this a must see show. The show is really is going to get Bombay Talking." |
