Better the known than the unknown seems to be the thinking at the ITC Group which has decided to continue with the incumbent agency on the business, namely, Interactions, headquartered in Bangalore. The agency will work across the entire portfolio of the ITC Group. The estimated size of the account is in excess of RS 100 Crores. Interactions is a part of the Lintas Media group Ravi Naware, divisional chief executive, ITC Limited – Foods Division, confirmed the development and informed that Interactions will handle the entire portfolio of ITC group including tobacco, food, lifestyle, agarbattis/matchboxes and greeting cards. Mediaedge:CIA and Lodestar were the other agencies pitching for the account. ITC Foods business is represented in four categories - ready-to-eat food, staples, confectionery and snacks. It made its foray into the sector in August 2001 with the ready-to-eat 'Kitchens of India' brand. ITC has also forayed into the consumer goods segment with its new perfume 'Essanza', which will be available in its lifestyle stores across the country shortly. |
