The Ahmedabad-based Mudra Communications has been served a notice of disaccredition by the Indian Newspaper Society, INS for not clearing its dues. INS has asked its member publications not to offer any credit facility to Mudra effective from September 2, 2005 to October 1, 2005, the Times of India reported on Sept. 06. It added that Sources say Mudra ran up dues of around RS 5.2 crore, largely on account of its Electrolux business, which went into liquidation and was recently bought over by Videocon. When contacted, Mudra’s managing director and chief executive officer Madhukar Kamath declined to comment on the matter. |
