The first 24-hour English News & Infotainment channel for South Asians - South Asia World, will be launched on June 2 on Zee Platform in UK. TV18 runs and manages CNBC-TV18, India 's leading business news channel. South Asia World draws from TV18's world-class production and broadcast experience. South Asia World will cover politics, sports, entertainment, business and the arts. It is first with the news that concerns South-Asians, produced by a team of professional, experienced journalists from around the world. South Asia World will also keep the community in touch with their traditions and culture, with the latest happenings in Bollywood, and the latest in Cricket. With a fully equipped studio in the Empire State Building in New York, bureaus in Washington D.C. and the San Francisco Bay Area, reporters from coast-to-coast in the US, in live news studios in Mumbai and Delhi, South Asia World is geared to give the community the coverage it deserves. The channel’s signature news program, "Our World Today", covers political and business news from India and the subcontinent as well as the latest news from the cricket pitch and the world of entertainment.
